After graduating from Kenyon College in Gambier, Ohio, with a bachelor of arts degree in history, and then working in the business world in Houston, Chicago, and St. Louis, Mr. Sanders earned his JD from the Washington University School of Law in St. Louis in 1985.
Mr. Sanders first practiced in St. Louis, primarily in commercial litigation. From 1987 to 1994, he worked with Taft, Stettinius & Hollister, Cincinnati, principally in commercial litigation, insurance coverage litigation, and commercial personal injury defense. Since 1995, he has practiced under his own name in Cincinnati.
Practice areas include commercial litigation and insurance coverage litigation, with emphasis on crop insurance coverage advice and litigation, as well as general business and corporate representation, creditors rights, and appellate practice. Mr. Sanders has engaged in investigations and litigation across the country, including in Alabama, Arkansas, California, Florida, Georgia, Idaho, Illinois, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Louisiana, Minnesota, Mississippi, Missouri, Nebraska, Nevada, New York, North Carolina, North Dakota, Ohio, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, South Dakota, Tennessee, Texas, Utah, Washington, and Washington D.C.
Mr. Sanders has presented to groups that include other attorneys through the National Business Institute and the Cincinnati Bar Association, and to key personnel of a major crop insurance provider.
